Technical Glitches
Haven't been writing here, partly due to the frustrations over the technical glitch that has infected my tabulas/firefox relationship. There doesn't seem to be an easy explanation for this and quite frankly, it's frustrating as hell. I should be able to sort this, but can't and it is making me crazy. I love my Tabulas, but this inability to change fonts, sizes, colours, add smilies etc, via the advanced editor is doing my head in.
As well, I am about thisclose to changing my template -- not because I don't like it, but because I can't make the changes to it that it needs. I should find something I can handle, on my own, instead of something I need an IT person to fix. Keep it simple.
The other major technical glitch happened this week to one of my fastmail accounts. The problem was so major that it has taken them almost three days and they are still trying to fix it. I have no access to this account, which is bad because it's the one I use for my job at the church. Needless to say, anyone who sent me copy for the church bulletin will be disappointed as it won't be in this week.
New Stuff
I am almost ready to publish a tiny booklet I wrote years ago. It is a kind of self-help/inspirational book, and I'm publishing it via www.lulu.com. I won't make the same kind of money I would if it was published by a proper book publisher, but if it sells well, I will be able to show another book publisher that it already has a proven track record.
My poetry will also be published via this method, as will two small children's books. Hopefully all out by Christmas.
It has truly been a learning process so far, and I hope the end result is worth the efforts.
I am also planning to create my own website, with a link to my Tabulas journal, my online shop and my portfolio site. I have a template uploaded, thanks to the efforts of a very generous friend, but I have a long way to go before it is ready to be launched. Plus, I really need to decide on a name and register it, asap. Someone already has Tallulah.com, which really irks me. She spells it differently than I do, but can I really go ahead and use Tallullah.com ? Not sure.
Other Stuff
My personal life is kind of up in the air. Yes, there is a man involved, but at this point I am not sure where it is going, or even if there is anything there, and I don't wish to jinx things by sharing much more right now.
